According to an eyewitnesses, Justice Bliss Okere who is the Student Union’s Deputy Chief Judge:
“the Police Van with Registration number NPF 1791D and  driven by one Inspector John Kanu  knocked down one of our students whose name was given as is EDAH OGHENEKEWE RICHARD, and instead of taking him to the nearest hospital, they abandoned him on the road, shot sporadically to disperse the crowd and ran away. Before the students could carry him to the hospital, he died on the way due to enormous loss of blood”.
