The duo, who allegedly belonged to a seven-man gang, were nabbed by the Zonal Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Onikan, area of the state.
The Zone 2 Police spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, told newsmen that the 48-year-old Musa, a father of five from Borno State, and his accomplice, Musa would be charged to court at the end of investigation.
According to him, “They were caught in the act on Friday at about 4pm while burgling shops at the Idumota and Balogun markets.
“Ten bags of women underwear, two cutlasses, two chisels, one heavy cutter, an unregistered Toyota Corolla, (the gang’s operational vehicle), were recovered by police operatives.
“The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIGP, Abdulmajid Ali, in charge of the zone, has directed the Officer-In-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to arrest other fleeing members of the gang and their receivers.
“The police are going to investigate and charge them to court. The arrest of the gang members was in response to a tip-off on the regular burglary of shops in the market,” the spokesperson added.

Jonathan’s Gov’t Better Than Buhari’s Administration -APC Leader Confesses.

Hussaini Mairiga, one of the three factional leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state, says the government of former
president Goodluck Jonathan is better than their government. In this interview with Newsmen, the APC leader describes the president as a failure, adding that it is the tradition of any political party to make its mark from the first year and the second year in power.

Hussaini Mairiga
Read excerpts from the interview below:
You were recently quoted to have described President Muhammadu Buhari as a failure. Why did you say that?
“Yes, because all Nigerians felt that as soon as Buhari came to power, they would feel some relief after the hardship from the immediate-past administration of Goodluck Jonathan. But from all indications, Jonathan’s Government is better than our government.
” Meanwhile, the prices of all goods and services in Nigeria have gone up, particularly essential commodities. Each time one buys a product from the market and goes back the second day; one will notice that the price has drastically increased.
“It’s indeed failure to him and us, the APC members and followers of the party. The painful aspect is that we turn a blind eye when our own is doing something wrong. Each time the President goes wrong, it’s better to tell him right away than to wait until he leaves government before cataloguing his misdeeds”.
Are you trying to score cheap political points with your recent criticisms of the President as some people are wondering why a member of the APC would be publicly criticizing a leader of the party?
“Yes, those people do not know who Hussaini Mairiga is. I have been with President Buhari since 2002, when he veered into politics and I am still his supporter and follower.
“I will therefore not close my eyes and overlook his other side because he is the President of the nation. He is a human being like me and was given power by almighty Allah, and by tomorrow, Allah may bring him down.
“Any person who is an administrator that I follow, I must tell him whenever he goes wrong. Certainly I will not start criticizing him after his tenure in office. I have to tell him the truth and I often call my friends in government on phone for them to advise the President on what Nigerians are actually facing.
“I also personally call on phone but they often refuse to respond to my numerous calls. The truth is that I was a member of the then All Nigeria Peoples Party (now defunct).
“Speaking from my experience, I observed that the party executives always hid the truth from
Buhari because they wanted to get something from him.
“But as for me, I am not lobbying for any position from him and therefore, I have to tell him the truth, no matter how bitter it is, to enable him to right his wrongs”.
Don’t you think criticizing him now is premature since it is a new government that is trying to restructure?
” What is the big deal about a new government? It’s indeed the tradition of any political party to make its mark from the first year and the second year in power, as the third and fourth years are for politicking and rigorous campaigning.
“As a result- oriented politician, the first and second years are enough to make headway, while the remaining two years are for politicking.
” Based on this reality, I have no alternative but to talk to Buhari and tell him the truth. Even if I am victimized for doing so, It is okay as long as I am fighting for the Nigerian masses. I would not mind stepping on toes as long as I am speaking the truth”.

Meanwhile the former president, recently stated that he handed over the best Nigerian government and the largest economy in Africa to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reno Omokri, the former special assistant on new media to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan in a series on Tweets on Wednesday, August 24, stated how the former president took over and handed the best government to the present administration.

“No More Attacks, but…”, ND Avengers Writes Buhari (MUST READ)

The Niger Delta Avengers militants said last night that they were done with the hostilities. The group whose attacks have caused a huge dip in Nigeria’s oil exports, forcing the economy into a big crisis.
The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) broke the news in a letter posted on its website by its spokesman, Mudoch Agbinibo, and addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari.
It also spoke of the need for regular dialogue to take place for the Nigerian union to survive. Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina welcomed the cessation of hostilities by the Avengers as “a good development which is in the interest of the country and especially the Niger Delta people.”
He said “anything that portends peace is always good,” adding that “we hope that it cuts across board and it is sincere.”
Avengers (1)
The Avengers alleged that the Federal Government was out to execute a predetermined genocide against the people of the Niger Delta through the recently launched Operation Crocodile Smile, which the military high command has explained as just a training drill designed to prepare the Amphibious Division for a better mastery of the Niger Delta terrain.
The Niger Delta Avengers also observed that the Nigerian system would work better if the Federal Government learns from the developed democracies to allow internal protests and conflicts aimed at greater good of the nation.
“We call on President Muhammadu Buhari to put away the garb of a stooge to the imperialists, whenever he speaks outside Nigeria. We have listened carefully and halted hostilities in the Niger Delta.
We expect a genuine and positive attitude to restructuring and self-determination for every component unit of Nigeria. Dear president, what makes those countries (Japan, Germany, France, USA, Britain etc.) great is the ability of their governments to accommodate internal protestations and conflicts for the greater good of their nations over the years.
“Nigeria is not a one-man personal property. We must have
these talks every time if this union must continue to work as one. The people of the Niger Delta have been living here from time immemorial, so we have the secret of the terrain and survival of amphibious operations.
“No amount of troop surge and simulation exercises will make you win the oil war; you can only win battles. You cannot apply the might of the state to restore the people’s confidence in your leadership when you cannot differentiate between genuine demands and being mismanaged by disorganised characters and tribal lords around you in your government that are playing the court jesters’ role as well as counting the days that is left in your four years term.
“You can deceive the whole world but we cannot be deceived by the so glamorized ongoing military operations in the creeks of Ijaw communities in the Delta coded “ Operation Crocodile Smiles”… the world should knows that with your pronouncement in Kenya and your attitude to the military build-up in the Niger Delta, it is crystal clear that the military has nothing less than a pre-determined genocide in Niger Delta and burn more already scared national resources to the pockets of those that have failed to locate the missing Chibok School Girls.
“Please also tell those foreign nations that your troops are about carrying out extrajudicial killings in the Niger Delta in violation of Article Four of the Geneva Convention with “OPERATION CROCODILE SMILE”. All sane minds know the meaning of “ CROCRODILE TEARS” so by code-naming your military operation CROCODILE SMILES only betrays your motives and attitude to the whole world about the Niger Delta question.”
With an end to bombings, there is hope for increased oil and gas production, which will translate to more revenue for the Federation.
The militants in the last few months hit major pipelines including Shell’s Nembe Creek Trunk Line (NCTL) and Forcados terminal, ExxonMobil and Agip’s facilities. These attacks led to shut-in of various crude grades from Nigeria.
At the peak of the attacks, production dropped to 1.4 million barrels per day (bpd) against a budgeted 2.2 million bpd. Production had risen to 1.9 bpd before the renewed attacks.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said any herdsman caught grazing in the state with arms or in possession of any weapon will be charged with terrorism and prosecuted accordingly.
FAYOSE
The governor stated this after signing a bill titled ‘Prohibition of Cattle and other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti, 2016’, into law on Monday during a meeting with traditional rulers and chiefs at the Government’s House in Ado Ekiti.
The bill was read to the gathering by the Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Kolawole Oluwawole, who hinted that the state government was already planning to allocate land for grazing in all the state’s local government areas.
Fayose, while signing the bill into law at the meeting, said the purpose of the meeting was to seek collaboration with the traditional rulers and chiefs on security issues and other crimes in the state.
The governor added, “My government took the bill to the House after what happened in Oke Ako a few months ago. The House has passed the bill and I have to give my assent to it. It becomes a law from today that if you do anything to the contrary, you will be punished according to the law. Giving insights into the bill, Oluwawole said grazing activities must be from 7am to 6pm on a daily basis.
The Speaker stated, “The government shall allot certain portion of land to each local government for grazing. Anyone caught grazing on portions of land or any farmland not allotted by the government shall be apprehended and made to face the law.
“Any herdsman caught with firearms and any weapons whatsoever during grazing shall be charged with terrorism. Any cattle confiscated shall be taken to the government cattle ranch at Erifun in Iworoko community.
“Any farm products destroyed by the activities of any caught herdsman shall be estimated by agricultural officer and the expenses of the estimate shall be borne by the culprit. Any herdsman who violates any of these rules shall be imprisoned for six months without an option of fine.”

Lagos Assembly Seeks Suspension of Oil Exploration

Lagos Assembly Seeks Suspension of Oil Exploration

BASIC infrastructure must be put in place before oil production can begin in Lagos, the House of Assembly told oil exploration companies yesterday.
Oil has been discovered in commercial quantity in Badagry.
The Assembly said the government needed to prepare before the beginning of operation to avoid a repeat of the problems in Niger Delta and other oil-producing states.
The lawmakers’ reaction followeda motion at plenary by the Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Mineral Resources, Folajimi Mohammed.
The lawmaker said efforts must be made to ensure that the state does not go the way of Niger Delta and other oil producing states, which, he said, were suffering from environmental degradation, following the activities of oil companies.
Lagos
Speaker Mudashiru Obasa said there was need for the government to be pro-active on the matter and learn from the past.
He said: “We must safeguard the host communities and we must commend the companies that have been investing in oil exploration in the state over the years before oil was eventually discovered.
“All necessary infrastructures must be put in place to protect the state and the host communities so that we would prevent what is happening in Niger Delta from happening in Lagos State,” he said.
Mohammed in the motion called for a
stakeholders’ meeting to discuss the socio-economic importance of the exploration of oil and other related issues to prevent the Niger Delta experience.
He stressed that the discovery of oil in Lagos has called for the recognition of the state as an oil-producing state, but that it was important to consider the consequences of the exploration.
After extensive debate of the motion, the House passed a resolution calling for stakeholders meeting over the discovery and exploration of oil in Badagry area.
Some of the stakeholders identified by the lawmakers include exploration companies, state officials and the host communities.
Rotimi Olowo (Somolu 1), made reference to the degradation of Rivers State after the discovery of oil in the state and pointed out that adequate infrastructure should be provided for the people of the area.
He said that despite the fact that Nigerians were happy when oil was initially discovered in the country, it later turned to a source of sadness with the activities of the oil companies.
Supporting, Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti Osa 2) added that a special account should be created for the 13 per cent derivation that would accrue to the state from the Federal Government as an oil producing state.
The lawmaker from Badagry Constituency 2, David Setonji, explained that he received the news of the discovery with mixed feelings.
He expressed fears that the exploration would negatively affect his people and that a percentage of what would accrue to the state from oil revenue should be given to the area.
Another lawmaker from Badagry but who is representing Ojo Constituency 1, Victor Akande, said the oil companies should be made to employ 60 per cent Lagos residents, especially those from Badagry area.
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Wasiu Eshinlokun, observed that there was need to learn from the past with the destruction of marine life, environmental pollution and oil spillage in the Niger Delta.

Buhari Set To Sell Prized National Assets To UAE Businessman. (See Mind-boggling Details)

EXCLUSIVE: Buhari planning to sell NLNG, stake in JVCs to Arab businessmen from UAE At his wits end over how to raise money and
keep the Nigerian economy from collapsing completely, President Muhammadu Buhari is about concluding plans to sell off prized national assets to investors form the Middle East.
IMG_20160712_073410
Nigerian Times learnt from a highly placed source in the Presidency that the government has been in talks with businessmen form Dubai and Qatar over the sale of its entire 49 percent stake in the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Limited.
The deal, this paper learnt, is being brokered by an influential governor from the northern part of the country. Discussions have been on for some time now but our source said the deal would have been wrapped up by now but for the insistence by the businessmen that the Nigerian government provide cast-iron guarantee that their investment would be safe given the restiveness in the Niger Delta region where the assets are based.
“The bombing of oil facilities by the Avengers is a sticking point. The investors do not want to spend billions acquiring the company only to have it go up in flames. They are asking the president to provide assurance that facilities belonging to the company will continue to be protected by government after they have sealed the deal,” our source said.
President Buhari is said to have given them his word that their investments would be well secured by security agencies, informing them that his government is also exploring a peaceful resolution of the Niger Delta problem.
Aside the NLNG, this paper learnt, President Buhari is also considering divesting 10 per of its stake in the Joint Venture Companies as a way of raising money.
The NLNG was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989 to harness Nigeria’s vast natural gas resources and
produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export.
The establishment of NLNG is backed by the NLNG Act. The company is owned by four shareholders, namely, the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49%); Shell (25.6%); Total LNG Nigeria Ltd (15%) and Eni (10.4%).
It has wholly–owned subsidiaries: Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited and NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML). With six trains currently operational, NLNG’s plant, on Bonny Island in Rivers State, is capable of producing 22 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) of LNG, and 5 MTPA of NGLs (LPG and Condensate) from 3.5 Billion (standard) cubic feet per day (Bcf/ d) of natural gas intake.
NLNG’s near term expansion plans include construction of a seventh train to complement the existing six train structure, which when in operation will up the company’s total production capacity to 30 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG.
As the arrowhead of Nigeria’s efforts to eliminate gas flaring, NLNG’s operations have helped reduce Nigeria’s Flaring Profile from 65% to below 25%. The company also supplies about 80% of the annual domestic LPG (Cooking Gas) consumption.

TENSION!! N/Delta: Fear, Panic As Community Flee, See What Soldiers Are Doing Now In Gbaramatu.

WARRI —FEAR has gripped residents of Ijaw communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta
State, as hundreds have relocated following the deployment of soldiers, who shot randomly in the area, weekend. The Ibebenemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief Godspower Gbenekama, and chairman of Kokodiagbene community, Mr Sheriff Mulade, said, yesterday, that the people were scared.

According to Gbenekama, who is also acting spokesperson of Gbaramatu Traditional Council, GTC: “Up till 10a.m., today (yesterday), the full detachment of military has not actually invaded our communities, but pockets of military men have been terrorizing our communities, shooting indiscriminately into the communities from the waterfront.
“This has caused panic in Gbaramatu communities. I have just been informed that there is a military detachment leaving Warri for the creeks. What they are going for, we may not know. However, this continuous militarisation of our communities is not the best approach to the present Niger Delta crisis.
“One is surprised at the current government’s intention. If leaders and kings of the Niger Delta have come together to ensure that there is peace and their pleas have been

My Policeman Friend Led Team That killed My Son – Father

My Policeman Friend Led Team That killed My Son – Father

The father of Innocent Kokorifa, who was allegedly killed by a police team in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has demanded justice for his son.
FATHER
Mr. Daniel Kokorifa, an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Rivers State Sector Command, said his son was murdered by a team led by his friend.
He spoke on Monday when some human rights activists, led by a former Secretary, Civil Liberties Organisation, Mr. Alagoa Morris, paid a condolence visit to his home in the Okaka area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
Innocent, who was first of five children, was allegedly shot dead by the police anti-kidnapping team on Air Force Road in Yenagoa on August 18, 2016.
The victim was said to be running an errand for his mother, Pere, when he was killed.
But the state police command had in a statement claimed that the victim died during a gun battle between a three-man robbery gang and the police.
The victim’s father, Daniel, however, said upon investigation, he discovered that Innocent was killed by a police team led by his own friend.
He explained that his son died on the day his West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination results were released wherein he passed all his papers.
He said, “On August 18, 2016, my wife called me that our son was shot dead by the police. We went to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, but they denied knowledge of the incident.
“We went to the anti-vice unit and they also denied. When we went to the scene of the incident, we discovered that it was the anti-vice team that came for the operation.
“The following morning, I went to the anti-vice team again, but they denied knowledge of it. I saw a friend, who worked there. When I asked him, he also denied any knowledge of it. But I later discovered that it was my friend, who led the team, that killed my son.
“From there, I went to the Emergency Ward at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, in search of my son. There, I was told that the police brought the boy in the night around 11pm, the doctors said the boy was brought dead.
“That was how I knew my son was dead. I went inside the mortuary with my son’s picture and my ID card before they allowed me in. I saw his lifeless body in the morgue.”
Daniel, while thanking various rights groups that had been standing by the family, said his son’s dream of studying law at the university had been cut short.
“From birth, he never had any criminal record. The day he died was the day his principal called me that he made all his papers. Now, he is dead. All I demand is justice,” he added.
The victim’s mother, Pere, said she asked him to give N2,000 to her elder sister’s daughter around 10pm on the day of the incident.
“We started searching for him when he didn’t return on time. We went to hospitals and police stations, but they all denied knowing the whereabouts of my son. The following day, when my husband returned from Port Harcourt where he works, we went to the SCIID and they asked me to write a statement that it was bad boys that killed my son, so that they could investigate the matter, but I refused.”
Human rights activist, Morris, said, “Even a criminal is innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law. And until a judge pronounces the death penalty, no one has the right to take a life.”
Another activist, Ebiserikumo Gbassa, who described the development as an extra-judicial killing, said the police had ended the life of a promising youth.
“I am appealing to all relevant authorities to ensure that the killers of the innocent boy are brought to book,” he added.
When contacted, the spokesman for the police command in the state, Mr. Asinim Butswat, said the police were investigating the matter.
However, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Amiengheme Andy, last Friday, sympathised with the family of the deceased.
Andy had said, “We do not encourage such things. We all have children and nobody will send anyone out to shoot anybody and anyone who does that will pay dearly for it.
“We want to assure the family that nobody will cover up the matter.

Nigeria Hits BIG Money in New Mineral Resource

Nigeria Hits BIG Money in New Mineral Resource

Premium Times is reporting that Nigeria has hit pay dirt with the discovery of a rare mineral resource in the northern part of the country.
According to reports it published on Monday, August 29, the online medium quoted The Australian, an Australian national news daily as saying that a private mining syndicate headed by a mining industry veteran, Hugh Morgan made the discovery at Dangoma in the north-west state of Kaduna.
“The discovery is unusual because the nickel is found in small balls up to 3mm in diameter of a high purity in shallow soils in what could be the surface expression of a much bigger hard-rock nickel field.
“The nickel balls, rumoured to grade better than 90 per cent nickel and thought to be a world first given their widespread distribution, offer the potential for early cashflow from a simple and low-cost screening operation to fund a full assessment of the find that has exploration circles buzzing,” the newspaper was quoted as reporting.BUHARI OFFICIAL
Premium Times also quoted Morgan as saying that he expects the federal government of Nigeria to make an official announcement but reports that Olayinka Oyebode, chief press secretary of minister of solid minerals development, Kayode Fayemi, said he had no details of the discovery. Oyebode however confirmed that Fayemi is scheduled to be in Australia next week as one of the speakers at a three-day Africa Down Under mining conference at Perth’s Pan Pacific Hotel, Australia.
“I know there is a mining conference coming up in
Australia where the Honourable Minister is supposed to make a presentation.
“But I don’t have an advance knowledge of what he’s going to talk about but, generally speaking, he’s going to market Nigeria,” Oyebode was quoted as saying on Monday, August 29.
Meanwhile, Fayemi has warned newly deployed federal mines officers to pay maximum attention to matters relating to the procurement, transportation, storage and use of explosives in their respective states.
He declared that they would be held responsible for any diversion of explosives to unauthorised persons.
Fayemi gave the warning during a meeting with the 37 newly deployed officers in his office on Tuesday, August 9 while assuring them that they would be adequately equipped for the assignment.

Niger Delta Avengers writes open letter to President Buhari, alleges pre-determined genocide in the region

Niger Delta Avengers have written an open letter to President Buhari, accusing him of using the military through its new formation,  Operation Crocodile Smile, to carry out pre-determined genocide in the Niger Delta region. The Nigerian Army last week launched the "Operation Crocodile Smile" which they say is just a training drill designed to prepare the Amphibious Division for a better mastery of the Niger Delta terrain.
The militant groups in its open letter, allege that the military formation is part of a pre-determined genocide to be carried out in the Niger Delta region. The group says President Buhari's statement in Kenya over the weekend that they should come forward for negotiation or be treated as Boko Haram members, gives credence to the allegations of pre-determined genocide. Read the statement signed by the group's spokesperson,  Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, below...

We call on President Muhammadu Buhari to put away the garb of a stooge to the imperialists, whenever he speaks outside Nigeria. We have listened carefully and halted hostilities in the Niger Delta; we expect a genuine and positive attitude to restructuring and self-determination for every component unit of Nigeria. Dear president, what makes those countries (Japan, Germany, France, USA, Britain etc.) great is the ability of their governments to accommodate internal protestations and conflicts for the greater good of their nations over the years. Please stop presenting your government as pawn to the web of military industrialists complex, whenever you leave the shores of Nigeria.
Nigeria is not a one-man personal property we must have these talks every time if this union must continue to work as one. The people of the Niger Delta have been living here from time immemorial, so we have the secret of the terrain and survival of amphibious operations. No amount of troop surge and simulation exercises will make you win the oil war, you can only win battles.
You cannot apply the might of the state to restore the people's confidence in your leadership when you cannot differentiate between genuine demands and being mismanaged by disorganized characters and tribal lords around you in your government that are playing the court jesters role as well as counting the days that is left in your four years term. Conclusively, dear President Muhammadu Buhari please also tell those foreign nations that you are always at ease talking to, while refusing to listen to Nigerians that your troops are about to carrying out extra judicial killings in the Niger Delta in violation of article four of the Geneva Convention with "OPERATION CROCODILE SMILES". All sane minds knows the meaning of " CROCRODILE TEARS" so by code-naming your military operation CROCODILE SMILES only betrays your motives and attitude to the whole world about the Niger Delta question.
The whole world will surely applaud you in The Hague when you leave office! This is not the Nigeria and the world of the 1980s and 1990s under General Sani Abacha and your watch.

Pay Siasia his money- Sports Minister begs NFF

Pay Siasia his money- Sports Minister begs NFF

Youth and Sports Minister Barrister Solomon Dalung has appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to pay the U-23 National team's Coach Samson Siasia. The Minister gave the charge when Siasia paid him a visit Monday in his office in Abuja. Siasia visited with his wife Sandra to thank the Minister for his support to the Dream Team from Atlanta to Rio where they won Bronze in the football event of the Rio Olympics and to officially inform him that his contract with the NFF has ended.

Barrister Dalung directed the Secretary-General Dr Mohammed Sanusi who was also present to ensure that Siasia gets the arrears of his five month's salaries. "Please pay him his five months' salaries.
They said he has resigned but he just said that his contract expired after the Olympics.
His contract expired but you are owing him 5 months' salaries and you have gone to employ a foreign coach and will pay him in dollars. It means you don't like yourselves and nobody will sympathize with you. Please spare me the stress of talking about this salary issue or going to war with you on it. Please pay him and other coaches their outstanding salaries" Dalung said.
The Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr Sanusi however said that efforts were already being made to pay the coaches their salaries.
"We have held meetings and we are waiting for the money to drop. The money is already there in our account but we need to regularize the TSA procedures before we can claim the money. We are almost through with the process. Once that is concluded, we will pay them" Sanusi assured.

Before I clocked 25, I was the highest buyer of Versace home products in the entire USA- Ebonyi lawmaker says

According to Ebonyi state House of Assembly member, Maria Ude Nwachi, she became the highest buyer of Versace home products in the entire USA just before she clocked 25 years old. The 45 year old lawmaker said this in a post she shared on her Facebook wall while showing off photos from her recent visit to Harrods stores.  Read the post below...

There is no department store like Harrods on this earth. And none in the USA is comparable to it; not Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Ave, Bloomingdales ETC. In London, Harvey Nichols & Selfridges does not even come close. Harrods is a luxe department store in a class by itself.
I have been shopping here since my early twenties. If you are a seasoned shopaholic who wants the best of everything the world has to offer under one roof then Harrods is for you.
Established in 1849, Harrods has seven floors and 330 departments dedicated to the finest products in food, fashion, homeware, technology and more, plus 20 restaurants and specialist services. Whenever you breeze in there, make sure you check out the Egyptian Hall, Salon du Parfums and the Hosiery Department. At night, the store is illuminated by 11,500 light bulbs. And boy, in my twenties and early thirties, I shopped in a frenzy all over the world in a manner that was beyond human comprehension. Before I clocked 25 years old, I was the highest buyer of Versace home products in the entire USA. No one came close.
But I tell you, whenever I am in Harrods it becomes frenzy amplified & reloaded. Hey, I was young, hot and very bothered. Remember, youthful exuberance & indiscretion is allowed. Winkz. About 10 years ago, I had Harrods customize about 35 of my favorite True Religion & Seven For All Mankind Jeans. They designed variations of Nigerian coat of arms on them and signed them off with Afikpo Chic. It was worth every dime because I still smile broadly whenever I sight any of the jeans balancing in my closet. They are just awesome and I can't thank Harrods enough for them. Hey, I will be 46 in a few weeks..
I have seen it all and bought it all in those years, it really takes a lot to impress me when it comes to wearables. When I'm Harrods now, I pick one or 2 things things and spend the rest of the time just observing & analyzing the merchandize.
Hey, old age has set in, and I now have bigger fishes to fry than plunging on vanities I already have too much of. Ladies, I know you will all love this store. Come with me lemme show you a glimpse of the world famous Harrods. Come on, follow me inside...
PHOTOS: Taken on Tuesday, August 23, 2016; the day I left London for my homeland, Nigeria. No place like home at all. Feels like a million dollars to be back to my sweetest town of Afikpo.
Oh how I missed you, yummiest Ehugbo. I hate leaving you!! Damn.
