Woman arrested after Facebook post banning Muslims from her beauty salon

A beauty salon owner has been arrested after allegedly making Facebook posts saying she would no longer take bookings from Muslims in the wake of the Paris terror attacks. According to Thames Valley Police , a 43-year-old woman was arrested under section 19 of the UK Public Order Act.

Section 19 relates to "the display of written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting with the intention of stirring up racial hatred, and for producing malicious communications."

The woman has been named locally as April Major, proprietor of Oxfordshire at-home salon Blinks of Bicester but she has not as yet been charged with an offence.

The post on the Facebook page of Blinks of Bicester, reportedly read:

"Time to put my country first. "Blinks of Bicester are no longer taking bookings from anyone from the Islamic faith whether you are UK granted with passport or not."
Another post allegedly read:
"I have been inundated with messages tonight as I said I would not book any muslin [sic] or Islamic client. I stand by that completely as a UK citizen."
And a third reportedly said: "I hope your families get blown up by ISIS."

All the posts were later deleted.

In a statement, the Police said: "We take all such complaints seriously and will investigate."

See demographic chart of Muslims in Europe

The Paris attacks have drawn renewed attention to Europe’s growing Muslim population. In several European countries such as Germany and the Netherlands, serious concerns have been raised about the challenges of integration. The Muslim share of Europe’s total population has been increasing steadily by about 1 percentage point a decade – from 4 per cent in 1990 to 6 per cent in 2010.

According to the US-based Pew Research Center think-tank, the number of Muslims in Europe is about 44million. Within EU countries, the figure is around 19million. In Europe, Russia’s population of 14million Muslims – 10 per cent of its total – is the largest on the continent.

In the EU, Germany and France have the biggest Muslim populations, both being home to around 4.7million. By contrast, the UK has about 2.9million Muslims – the third largest number. However, at 7.5 per cent of the population, France has the highest proportion of Muslims of any major nation in Western Europe. Studies suggest this will pass 10 per cent by 2030. Muslims make up 6 per cent of the population in the Netherlands, 5.9 per cent in Belgium, 5.8 per cent in Germany and 4.8 per cent in the UK. The French capital of Paris and its metropolitan area also has more Muslims than any other city in the EU – an estimated 1.7million.

This is partly due to the legacy of the bitter war for Algeria, France’s Muslim former colony, in the 1950s. Tensions surrounding France’s Muslim community have long been simmering in the banlieues – vast concrete slums dominated by immigrants.

Biafra: Igbos are the Largest Producers of Nigerian Crude Oil and Gas (See Proof)

Biafra: Igbos are the Largest Producers of Nigerian Crude Oil and Gas (See Proof)IPOB Ow2By: Uche Obilor

I want us to understand that though Igbos in the South South are carved into minority states we are not minorities. We are part and parcel of a greater whole which is the IGBO NATION. We wont settle for less in the name of minority because in the event of crisis no body will call us minority, we will always be dealt as Igbos not as Ndokis,Ikwerres, Egbemas, Ogbas or Ndonis. We can not run away from our shadow neither can we do so to our identity.
When Ijaws was protesting against the long rule of igbos in our dear state(rivers), they did not see it as Ikwerre rule or Ndoni rule but saw it as an Igbo rule. During the event of PH ownership crisis the Ijaws claimed that Ikwerres are igbos and that they should go back to the uplands because they(Okrika/Ijaw) are the owners of the land ant that Ikwerres are migrants from upland.
Though i am a not strong believer in the Biafran project i do understand that our destinies are lumped together with our upland brothers and even if we have grieviances due to the Civil war we should learn how to resolve our problems internally. IGBOS MUST LEARN HOW TO STOP WASHING HER DIRTY LINENS OUTSIDE FOR THE AMUSEMENT OF OUR FOES.
The purpose of this thread is to raise a resistance against the emotional and psychological war being waged against us by some opportunist. Some elements in this forum opened their cavity and said that Igbos are inconsequential and has no bargaining power in the Nigerian politics.
In reference to this i want to categorically state that IGBOS ARE THE LARGEST PRODUCERS OF NIGERIAN CRUDE OIL AND GAS. This is contrary to the view held by many that thinks Ijaws holds the statues quo. This can be seen when all the igbo oil wells in Abia, Imo, Anambra, Delta and Rivers state is summed up and This is not exclusive to the oil alone Igbos are also the largest ethnic group in south south and in the Niger Delta. This is because when all the Igbos in Rivers, Delta and Edo state are added we constitute the largest group in SS and ND.
When Germany was divided into east and west Germany, it was the responsibility of Germans to unite and shake off the division created by their foes, therefore, it is our responsibility to unite in such times like this.
The south south is a blessing in disguise for we the Igbos because we will continue to constitute the majority in the region

Beauty queen dethroned in Benue a month to her handover

The management of the Face of Idoma pageant has dethroned the 2014 Miss Idoma Joy Onazi just a month before she was supposed to hand over to the next queen.  A letter signed by the Legal Adviser to the organisers of the pageant, Agila Social and Economic Carnival, Odang Oche, stated that she was removed from office due to her inability to live up to her duties and responsibilities and also deliberately refusing to adhere to the guidelines set for her by the organisation.

Among the reasons for her dethronement includes:
-Disobeying laid down rules and regulations of the organisation.
-Dragging the name of the organisation to the mud, thereby opening the organisation to negativity in the public domain.
-Gross abuse of office, thereby undermining the code of conduct that guides the office of the Face of Idoma. -Destroying the official vehicle of the Face of Idoma 2014 due to recklessness on your part, in which lives were lost.
-Travelling outside Makurdi without notification and permission.

The organisers say all efforts to check the former beauty queen's excesses in time past have been fruitless.
“It is worthy to note that all the above mentioned offences have been brought to your notice, some of which softer measures were taken but no positive outcome, thereby necessitating this action” they explained
They also asked the queen to return all property of the organisation in her procession or face litigation. The dethroned beauty queen was suspended a few months ago over allegations of gross misconduct. She was only recently involved in a fatal car crash with her official car in which she knocked down two pedestrians while returning from a humanitarian effort out of Makurdi. The dethroned queen is yet to react to this development.
