Footballer Raheem Sterling, 21, criticized for showing off wealth days after Euro 2016 failure (photos)

21-year-old England and Man City player Raheem Sterling was seen showing off his multi-million pound Cheshire mansion and fleet of supercars in a video shared on Snapchat just hours after England landed back in the UK on their private jet on Monday.

Fans have criticized the £49m winger as the show off on snapchat comes days after England were sent crashing out of Euro 2016 following an embarrassing defeat to Iceland...

Sterling can be seen taking his friends on a tour of a luxury home, showing expensive cars outside, including a red Ferrari and a Range Rover 4x4, before he then shows his pals a luxury bathroom padded with crystals then takes them to a huge cinema room.

Sterling, can be seen walking into the bathroom before one onlooker is heard saying:
“We don’t want you to be having the sh**** crystal piece baby.”

During the driveway showoff, a voice behind the camera said: “My team winning. Ferrari. Got the big daddy Rangey.”

Raheem Sterling earns about £180,000 per week at Man City and is hated by Liverpool fans who see him as a 'snake' who left the club because he wanted too much money.

Power supply in Nigeria is unstable with an average blackout time of 8 hours per day; these outages have been of major concern to many households as it is apparent that most foods will not remain safe in the refrigerator without power for long as they go bad within 4 hours of power outage.

In a bid to salvage the situation, LG Electronics, Nigeria’s leading brand in Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics has launched into the Nigerian market, 5-star rated frost-free Evercool Smart Inverter Refrigerator which can be powered with inverter, solar panels or generator ensuring that cooling is not in any way interrupted during power cuts.

The LG Evercool Smart Inverter Refrigerator comes with the Inverter-ON mode feature which is automatically activated during power cut. The working Mechanism of “Inverter-On” is based on MICOM (mini-computer) which automatically detects the change of input voltage from Power-Cut and converts Normal Mode to “Inverter-On” Mode. Inverter-On mode automatically adjusts the temperature for both fridge & freezer compartment slightly higher to use the battery longer by consuming less energy.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. Seonghak Kim said: for us at LG Electronics We are excited to be unveiling the much awaited LG Evercool Inverter Smart 2.0 Refrigerator specifically designed for the Nigerian market with its inverter compatibility technology to keep food fresh even during power outages. Abia governorship: Ikpeazu insists he is still governor, faults INEC's issuance of Certificate of return to Uche Ogah

Abia governorship: Ikpeazu insists he is still governor, faults INEC's issuance of Certificate of return to Uche Ogah

Earlier today, INEC issued a certificate of return to a member of PDP, Uche Ogah, following an order by the Abuja Federal High Court on Monday June 27th, mandating the electoral body to immediately issue Certificate of Return to Ogah who came second at the PDP primaries in the state in 2014. The state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has released a statement reacting to the development, According to him, he remains the Governor of the state since he has filed an appeal against the ruling.

Read his statement below

I have received with concern, report of the purported issuance of Certificate of Return to Mr. Uche Ogah by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as governor of Abia State, despite dependency of a notice of appeal and motion for stay of the orders made by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Our laws are clear on this matter. No one may be issued with a certificate of return let alone be sworn in as governor, when there is a subsisting appeal and application for stay.

I want to appeal to Abians to remain calm and law abiding in the face of this provocation, unless and until the appellant courts have conclusively resolve the appeal, the status remains, I am still the Governor of Abia State.

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu
Governor, Abia State

Journalist who alleged that the Kaduna State Govt abandoned the boy whose 'eyes were plucked out by ritualists' shares more details

Journalist who alleged that the Kaduna State Govt abandoned the boy whose 'eyes were plucked out by ritualists' shares more details

Journalist Femi Owolabi revealed yesterday that the Kaduna State government hasn't fulfilled its promise to sponsor the boy's education and have allegedly abandoned him. Read here . Femi has now shared a more revealing update. Read below
At a moment yesterday, as a father you know, I broke down, when with Abubakar. When I lifted him into my arms, he started using his palms to rub my index finger and was saying, "Ina kwana? Ina kwana? Ina kwana? (how was your night/sleep?) He wouldn't stop until I answered. I was looking into his face. Handsome. And smart. This little boy.
"It was on a Sunday morning," Abu's father recounted. He and his brother usually go for Quranic class, but Abu won't go until he collects money to buy what he will take along to class. His grandma gave him money and he went to the third house to this place, where he usually buy cheese ball. Cheese ball had finished and he was returning when some people called him. I wasn't around, it was his grandma who was at home. After a while that she didn't see him return, she went outside to look for him, and there, she saw a circle of people gathered, round his son. His two eyes have been removed. Everything happened in just 30minutes."
The Kaduna State Police PRO is yet to pick my calls. I'm not sure if this is still being investigated, because no suspect has been identified by the police. The parents told me they've given up on the police, a long time.
I gathered that the Emir of Zaria attempted to assist Abu by taking him to a specialist hospital in Kaduna for a possible eye transplant. Unfortunately, the hospital said it's beyond what they can handle. Again, it is a shame on the Kaduna State government who has failed to redeem its pledges. What will it cost Governor Nasir el-Rufai to fly Abu to India or Germany for further treatment, which he really needs? And sadly, because he wasn't sure if our mission was a genuine one, the Director of the school we intend to put Abubakar in Zaria told me yesterday that, "that was how the Local Government Chairman went to the media to say that they (the government) have already put the boy in our school whereas, there's nothing like that."
Politicians and their wicked ways. At first, I didn't wanna get myself bothered about this because the report was that a delegation from the Kaduna State government had visited him-- with pledges-- in the hospital. It was all propaganda, we now know. What the government gave Abu was less that N200, 000. And since that hospital visit, no one from the government office has come to check on Abu in that rickety corner in Zaria.
On a lighter note; I visited Abu with beverages and some stuffs. As I dropped the items on the floor, Abu would pick and hand it over to his grandma. He picked the cornflakes pack, gave to his grandma. Picked the milo and milk sachets, gave to his grandma. When his hand touched the carton of Bobo, he didn't make any attempt to give this one to his grandma. He started dragging it with his brother, and was shouting; "Ina so in sha Bobo! Ina so in sha Bobo!! (I want to drink Bobo!).
